Holiday Hotspots – Eastern Europe

When considering a European holiday, make eastern Europe the top of your list. It has a wide variety of places that provide fun for every traveler. It also has a great many different things to do. Their cultural heritage is rich and has been unspoiled by heavy tourism and ideas brought from other areas of the world. This is because until recently, the majority of travelers chows western European destinations. There are many beautiful landscapes and ancient historical sites to visit.
One of the best destinations in Eastern Europe is Bulgaria. It is a small country that has been around for centuries and stood strong against the ravages of time. Its rich history provides the perfect medium for travelers and tourists who enjoy European history. Getting around the country is easy because of an inexpensive public transport system. The Czech Republic is another great place to visit. If you want to change things up a little, try visiting Poland. This is a country that has been heavily influenced by gothic architecture. Many of the buildings there still stand brooding like fortresses. Churches are grand buildings that seem more like medieval castles than areas of worship. If you visit Torun, one thing you are sure to find is gingerbread. In fact it can even be found in the shape of Copernicus, the astronomer who was born there.
As you can see, Eastern Europe has a wide variety of places to visit that rival its western cousins. In many cases you will be able to enjoy cultures that have withstood the test of time to bring their rich heritage into the future for us to enjoy. Whether you want to experience nature, culture or fine local cuisine, Eastern Europe offers a variety of different things for everyone who travels there.
