Europe And The UK Offer Cheap Hotels
By w311y: 29/09/11
You can find both positive and negative aspects for booking a ‘staycation’ or a weekend away in various European locations. You can find deals on cheap hotels for both, but it really depends what you want to get out of your vacation. If you’re looking for guaranteed sunshine, it’s probably wise to head abroad but if all you want is a time out from your daily life, staying the country can be a good option.
Intricate architecture, a friendly atmosphere and fresh pizza are just some of the things you will only find in Rome. Sightseeing opportunities include the Trevi Fountain and the Vatican. When in the Vatican City, you’ll be able to visit the famous St Peter’s church and Sistine Chapel which feature artwork from Renaissance artists.
Surfing, walking, cycling, clubbing – Cornwall has it all. When the sun shines during the summer months, it’s a beautiful place. Newquay boasts great waves so if you like surfing, it is definitely closer and cheaper than Hawaii’s Waikiki Beach. If Ibiza appeals to you but you want to experience a staycation, Newquay’s clubs are a great choice to enjoy with a group of friends.
European city breaks might be a better option if you want to really get away from daily life and experience something new, hotel deals are also easily found abroad. Different local food and art museums are just some of the highlights of visiting a new country rather than staying at home. The Champs Elysees is a fantastic shopping area, unrivalled by any street in the UK, with other attractions in Paris including Notre Dame Cathedral, where the view from the top is quite spectacular, and of course the Eiffel Tower.
Brighton is a great choice for staycation if you want to go to the beach, just check the weather forecast first. Even though you won’t be heading overseas, you can still relax and enjoy yourself with a good book or whatever you enjoy. Cheap hotels can also be found in Brighton easily; you can even have a sophisticated afternoon tea at some of them, including the Radisson Blu hotel or alternatively Browns restaurant.
